Last week we went to a beach called Playa Ostional and we saw the mother turtles laying thier eggs in the sand. It was really amazing. We could actually see the eggs coming down. The day after that we went on a boat trip and we saw a bunch of turtles swimming. I went snorkeling and got to hold one. We also went on a zipline last week. It went all across the mountains and valleys. There were 13 lines in total. It was soooo fun! I've learned how to catch big green waves while surfing. I am okay, but when I paddle out, I have to do turtlle rolls and I really suck at those things. Yesterday we saw an armadillo from our porch and a woodpecker. The day before, we saw a kinkaju, which is a llittle tan animal that has a really cute face and a long tail. We also saw a possum. It was really scruffy. The other day, on the way to school, we saw a fox. It was reddish-tan and was pretty small. Last weekend, we went to a place in a different part of Costa Rica Called Monteverde in the mountains where there is a small touristy town and a bunch of hotels. We went on some really nice hikes. But I think we see more wildlllife from our porch than in Monteverde. We had guests that just left 30 minutes ago. They are friends from New York.

Yesterday I had a surf lesson. I actually stood up on some green water and rode it all the way in to the shore. Today our friends from New York Marco and Jenifer and their twin baby boys cosimo and adriano come to visit for ten days. I taught adriano how to use a water gun and he was shooting everybody. It was really funny. Jenifer and marco brought us lots of stuff that we ordered from the states.

Today I had a slumber party at my house. It was really fun. We went in the pool, played with water guns, stuffed our faces with junkfood and played truth or dare. We also watched a surfing movie called Blue Crush. At 12 am a bunch of the kids got hungry and we decided to sneak upstairs to get some chips and food when a walkie talkie alarm went off. We ran down stairs and oceanna kept banging into the door. When my dad came to see what had happened we told him that we were hungry so he made us noodles in the middle of the night. In the morning we had crepes with tons of nutella. We targeted water balloons into the pool from the patio. We had a great time!

I had a surf lesson today. It was fun and I was okay, but the waves I stand up on are tiny whitewaters. My teacher's name is Louigi. He's a really funny guy. I'm reading a book called Eragon. We went to a beach cafe called Jungle Java for lunch. Sidi 's (my grandpa) appendix burst on the 22. He went to the hospital in San Jose. We went to visit him there. There 's a big mall next to the hotel we stayed at. It seemed really weird because we live in a tiny town in the country.we had lot's of fun at San Jose. Sidi is better now and he will be back in nosara on tuesday.
